“Iranzu” is an usual work of de David Johnstone of inspired creation in the year 2000, adding to the Navarre-Basque repertoire. He was inspired in the countryside around the Iranzu monastery, producing sensations of both peace and harmonious strenth. Its originality is accentuated in that the trio always includes accordion, but the other two instruments can vary enormously – one chosen from flute, violin, oboe, clarinet or recorder, and the other from cello, bassoon or viola.
This musical creation was originally written for: Roberto Casado (flute) and Javier López Jaso (accordion)
