Brief Information:

The Sonata of Fantasy Variations treats the theme(s) of the melodic opening to the Duo for Oboe and Cello of Johnstone. However the course of the creation is very original and substantial. The variations assume an importance and extension of almost being considered separate movements. A worthy addition to this duo combination sadly neglected in the twentieth-century. Composed by Johnstone in 2017.
