GIOVANNI RICCIARDI Cello ITALY (Genoa) Giovanni Ricciardi was born in Genoa and took up the cello at the age of six. He studied at the Nicolo Paganini Conservatory in Genoa. Giovanni has been the recipient of many prizes amongst which are Citta di Stresa International Contest, Rovere D’oro International Contest.He performs regularly as a soloist in concerts both in Italy and abroad performing with the Florentine Chamber Orchestra, Italian Philharmonic, Las Plamas Philharmonic (Spain), Campinas University Orchestra (Brazil) and La Paz Symphony Orchestra (Bolivia), Rasa Chamber Orchestra, Karaj. He has also performed in numerous festivals including the Madrid Tchaikovsky Festival, the IBM International Festival in Brazil, Volgograd Festival, Ascoli Piceno Festival, Festival Internazionale Isola di Capraia and Flamensemble-Florence. CHRISTINE CULLEN Cello ITALY Born in London, of a Scottish father and French mother, her high studies were at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London under the guidance of Anthony Pleeth. She has collaborated in chamber music with musicians from the Teatro alla Scala Orchestra and with the "Swarowsky" Orchestra of Milan (also as first cello), the Ambrosiani Soloists, the Arteviva Orchestra, the Amadeus Orchestra, the Orchestra Milano Classica and with the Cameristi della Scala. Member of the ESTA (European String Teachers Association) association, she attended the 2013 Conference in Oxford (UK), on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Association. In 2014 she founded the "Cello Fascination" Young Violoncellist Ensemble, which she directs and co-ordinates, and with whom he also performed a concert during the reunion "101 Cellos for Genoa".
