MERCURY-Zadoff – Ballad ‘Love of My Life’ – FOUR CELLOS

Other Identification:
Love of My Life was written by Freddie Mercury in 1975. It is said that he wrote it about his girlfriend at the time, Mary Austin. Like Bohemian Rhapsody, Love of My Life is from Queen’s 1975 album A Night at the Opera. It is a pop ballad. The meaning behind “Love of My Life,” is one of pain. The song details a love lost, painting heartache through desperate lyrics and illustrating agony against an ornate arrangement fit for the theatre.
