Handel’s “Cantate Domino” is a Latin choral piece from his oratorio Judas Maccabaeus, which calls on all creation to sing a new song to the Lord, rejoicing and glorifying His name, as found in Psalm 98. The text praises God as King and features repeated phrases like “Cantate Domino” (Sing to the Lord) and “Laetentur caeli” (Let the heavens rejoice).
