BROWN & FREED – Film Song ‘Singing in the Rain’ (famed by Gene Kelly) – FOUR CELLOS (easy)

Other Identification:
“Singin’ in the Rain” is the title of both a 1929 song and the 1952 musical film it famously features in, starring Gene Kelly, Donald O’Connor, and Debbie Reynolds. Written by Arthur Freed and Nacio Herb Brown, the song is the centerpiece of the film, which is a lighthearted depiction of Hollywood’s transition from silent films to “talkies”. Gene Kelly’s iconic dance with an umbrella through puddles in the rain is one of cinema’s most celebrated musical numbers.
