MERCURY-QUEEN – Melodies from ‘ Bohemian Rhapsody’ (‘A Night at the Opera’) – 8 CELLOS

Other Identification:
“Bohemian Rhapsody” is a six-minute song by the British rock band Queen, written by lead singer Freddie Mercury and released in 1975. The song is a “mock opera” that blends different musical styles, including ballad, hard rock, and operatic passages, and tells a story of life, death, and guilt without a traditional chorus. The lyrics feature classical characters and religious references, and the song’s unconventional length and structure were initially met with resistance from record executives.

However, Mercury intentionally kept the lyrics open to interpretation. He once said:
“It is one of those songs which has such a fantasy feel about it. I think people should just listen to it, think about it, and then make up their own minds as to what it says to them,”
