MONTI – Czardas, Hungarian virtuoso piece – DUO VIOLIN AND CELLO

Other Identification:
“Csárdás” (also spelled as “Czardas”) is a rhapsodical concert piece by the Italian composer Vittorio Monti. Written in 1904, the folkloric piece is based on a Hungarian csárdás. It was originally composed for violin, mandolin, or piano. There are arrangements for orchestra and for a number of solo instruments, including those by David Johnstone for cello and piano, two cellos, and this current offering for violin and cello. “Csárdás” is about four-and-a-half minutes in duration.
Movements or sections:
Slow introduction; allegro movement with a calmed central section
Instrumentation:
DUO OF VIOLIN AND CELLO (better described as for violin soloist, accompanied by cello).

All the music (both individual parts, no score) is contained in 1 PDF.
Approximate difficulty:
Violin part very difficult; the cello is rather more comfortable (though neither is easy!)
