The name 'David Johnstone' is known and respected world-wide for his life-long interest in cello arranging, and musical creation in many other areas!
The website https://johnstone-music.com is a web page offering thousands of downloadable arrangements, especially for cellists. Cello ensembles are dear to his heart, even up to 12 cellos and beyond! His prolific production is now available for FREE.
This activity has led to frequent collaborations and invites in the roles of composer, arranger, and (last, but not least) a solo performer – and sometimes the three together simultaneously! He occasionally receives offers to direct cello groups and to involve himself as an invited professor in short courses (conservatoires, music schools, youth orchestras etc.). He does not work specifically to the deadlines of professional writing commissions but, never-the-less, he is always open to hear suggestions….
