Other Identification: originally this is the third movement to a quartet which was a collaborative work, with Nikolay Rimsky-Korsakov, Anatoly Lyadov, Aleksandr Borodin and Aleksandr Glazunov. Each composed one movement each (which they also arranged themselves for piano 4 hands). The entire work is based on the note motive ‘B-la-F’.
