José de Olaizola’s song Haurtxo Polita is also known as ‘Huartxoa Seaskan’. This is a very famous Basque song in North Spain, set from the original cradle song into a concert piece – the original words are difficult to translate from Basque but roughly mean ‘Cute little baby’.
