A highly virtuoso work for solo violinists, with influences from Hungarian and Rumanian music. It us virtually a small concerto, except that that what is the first section or movement is a large-scale cadenza for the soloist, followed by a slow movement and a ‘Moto Perpetuum’ finale. The last movement can, and indeed has, been performed separately, and has been recorded and heard on Spanish national radio numerous times.
