“Arabian Nights” is the iconic opening song from Disney’s 1992 animated film Aladdin, with music by Alan Menken and lyrics by Howard Ashman, sung by the Peddler. The song introduces the setting of Agrabah and serves as a prologue, although an earlier version conceived by the creators included multiple reprises to comment on the plot, most of which were cut but the final one was later used in Aladdin and the King of Thieves.
