MOZART – Three Duo Miniatures – VIOLIN AND CELLO

Other Identification:
The first two compositions were composed by Mozart at 6 years old! The third number is found in his “London Sketchbook”.

Created by the young Mozart to practise writing musical ideas on his own, with corrections by his father Leopold in pencil.

Mozart’s first composition was a Minuet in G Major, K. 1, a short keyboard piece he wrote around 1761 at the age of five. This was followed by other early works, such as additional minuets and trios and, by age eight, he began composing for keyboard and violin with his Sonata in C Major, K.6. His earliest compositions were written for keyboard, before his first symphony was written on tour when he was about eight years old.
