POPPER – Autumn Flower (from the Suite ‘Im Walde’) – FOUR CELLOS

This beautiful miniature is one of six character pieces under the title “ Im Walde ” which first appeared in Hamburg as Popper’s opus 50 in 1882. The performance is possible both with piano accompaniment and with a ‘classical’ size orchestra backing. In all, the set lasts some 15-16 minutes; the Autumn Flower is the shortest of them.
