SCRIABIN – Andante (1899) – QUARTET OF 3 CELLOS AND 1 DOUBLE BASS

Other Identification:
“Andante” for strings was written by Scriabin in 1899. It is not a virtuoso piece, as is much of his piano literature, but lyrical with a ‘semplice’ feel. In bringing this work basically down an octave (not always an octave but usually so) it makes for wonderful part writing in an unusual grouping of three cellos and double bass!
Instrumentation:
The original ANDANTE is for String Quartet by SCRIABIN
here arranged for Three Cellos and Double Bass by David Johnstone

All the music (score and parts) is contained in 1 PDF.
