Pleasing Pizzicatos – String Quartet with Obligato Double Bass, or for complete String Orchestra
Here is a small work that will almost surely please Double Bass players! One which is for String Quintet or for full string orchestra where the double bass part is the most important of all string instruments – the music is fully in PIZZICATO, sort of in line with the J. & J. Strauss ‘Pizzicato Polka’, but in my case using far more Prokofiev-like harmonies. As such the wit should shine through!
