The idea (and hope!) of this piece is to serve a useful educational work, and it is the base upon which other projects might freely arise; for example, in schools’ concerts (with or without a presenter). This is, in essence, a very free adaptation of musical history, from the Renaissance until the end of the twentieth-century.
The work is conceived for a small chamber orchestra with no upper limit to string players; however, the absolute lower limit for strings is 2-2-2-2-1. Please note that the wind player numbers never vary (5 musicians).
