EASY to MEDIUM. The first part ventures up to 7th position, the second to 4th position, and the remaining two are in first position.

An interesting anecdote – it seems that this piece was not by Handel! What appears to have happened is that it was ‘inspired’ by the choral movement ‘Lift up your heads’ from the Messiah by the great German (or Anglo-German) composer, but was  in fact composed by Lowell Mason, who lived from 1792 to 1872. However you programme it, it works great on cellos!
