David Johnstone is a composer with a large production specializing in string instruments and/or lighter classical musical writing. He also is an expert in writing string orchestral pieces that are well within the capabilities of youth and conservatoire orchestras. He has some 60 works published by the British publisher Creighton’s Collection. However, he is not restricted to solo string repertoire. He has made substantial contributions to most wind instruments, accordion and string chamber music repertoire.
His original music has been heard in more than 40 countries. His web includes many scores, transcriptions, and articles for downloading.
