Johnstone Creations – DAVID POPPER – Autumn Flower [Herbstblume – Flor de Otoño], Op. 50/5
– this music has been specially produced for Four Cellos. Also with the possibility of being rehearsed/performed by Cello Orchestra / use in the Cello class etc. with the ‘tutti’ cellos being divided between Cellos II to IV.

This beautiful miniature is one of six character pieces under the title “ Im Walde ” which first appeared in Hamburg as Popper’s opus 50 in 1882. The performance is possible both with piano accompaniment and with a ‘classical’ size orchestra backing. In all, the set lasts some 15-16 minutes; the Autumn Flower is the shortest of them.
