Notes:
** it is suggested that the soloist cellist ‘obligato’ be seated as principal cellist with an individual stand (with the second stand having players 2 and 3)

** on the parts marked           to         it is advised for the soloist to play the orchestral cello part (even though the original vocal soloist does not do this)

** this version should almost exclusively be used with orchestra; there are  existing reductions for piano, and even organ accompaniment, but it is felt that these are less effective when featuring cello and the exquisite orchestral colourings with a solo cello are partly lost.

** this new presentation of the symphonic poem is affectively dedicated to the fine Spanish cellist Eros Jaca
