MEDIUM. First cello uses 5th to 7th position and briefly in thumb position, but is fairly comfortable. This might be very useful for cello orchestras too, where a conductor  could coax out some good all part involvement. The melody is chiefly in Cello I, but all other parts play important supporting roles, and all have melodic interest! One of the most recorded jazz/popular themes of all-time, from its appearance after the second World War, and still very much in fashion in today’s world.
