This piece was originally called ‘El autobus de la memoria’ (the Bus of the memory) – however, whilst Johnstone was working on this transcription it was asgreed to use this new title for the multi-cello creation!

There are certain demands to the performance – intonation, pulsation etc. – but it is highly effective. This work is also possible with six cellos and piano and is highly recommended – in that transcription cellos VII and VIII are basically taken over by the piano. Works of more than three cellos and piano are extremely rare so this should prove to be a most welcome to repertoire in coming years! – this cello and piano version is also available in Johnstone-Music.
