Brief Information:

One of those melodies which makes a composer, rather like the Minuet of Boccherini.  The melody is blessed with tenderness, a gently lilting two in a bar feel giving wonderful propulsion, and a comfortable interpretative feel for the performer! It was a favourite of British cellist Jacqueline du Pré.
