A warm welcome to all visitors, old and new, to this ‘new’ website. The Johnstone-Music web began in 1998 and was growing during all these years with hardly any changes in structure. It was time to do a complete modernization with more new tools, and much easier to move around and about (especially from mobile phones).

The web is huge, and there are an exceptional amount of scores, articles, audio-videos and lots of other information. To maintain all this it is inevitable that there are substantial expenses – indeed, much more than normal webs of professional musicians. It was therefore decided to ask a symbolic price – €1.00 (that’s around 90p UK, or $1.10 US) – for the downloads of many scores (although others will still be basically free), and also in the great biographical work of Famous Historical Cellists.

Johnstone has spent almost 20 years doing an exhaustive work of creating scores – originals and transcriptions – for the cellists, and will continue to produce artistic creations that in the future could be even more spectacular!

All this change is a huge effort. Please be patient and slowly everything will be put in place – thousands of PDFs in total. Shortly you will be able to find many scores that were not on the old web, plus many general scores where previously there were only individual parts offered.

Enjoy the music!
