Brief Information:

Musical level – Ideal for medium level cellists AND accordionists (corresponding with UK grades 6 to 8; España – Grado Medio/superior).

This small sonatina is of almost exactly four minutes duration, composed as a commission for a production of a show relating to the work of the Josefina Arregui Clinic, Alsasua, Navarra (Spain) and its creator, Felipe Lecea. With the mere basics of using one tune and one accompanying figure of a rippling motion Johnstone clearly creates a sonata form structure, with a final coda of joyous pride. This musical creation was originally written for: Adela Martín and Ayla Losada, and this version for Mireia Plá (cello) and Fernando Salibas (accordion).

With thanks to Aitor Urkiza as musical editor and preparatory.
