Nicolò Paganini’s Moto perpetuo  Op. 11 (N° 6) is a major virtuoso showcase piece for soloists of the violin. It is a work that I occasionally practice on the cello at home, and whilst many passages work fine (I am a professional cellist!) I am conscious that to get from beginning to end without pausing/flinching/panicking is very difficult indeed. That is why I had the idea to write this second cello part – so you can be comfortably ‘put through your paces’ with a friend at home before attempting it in public. Or to later attempt a cello duo performance. However, this can also serve perfectly to accompany a violinist too (or for that matter any other taker playing it in C Major) and therefore a public domain version of the solo violin part is included.

The tempo indication is – Vivace

General difficulty of the music – other brief Information:

EXTREMELY DIFFICULT for the soloist (whether violinist or cellist). The second cello cannot cover absolutely everything from the piano part, but sufficient to give a good idea of the music.
