Michael Este lived from about 1580 to about 1648. This music – “How Merrily we Live” – is number 4 from the Second Set of Madrigals, dating from 1606. All parts have equal importance, and it is poised in feel between the song and the dance!  There is also a separate version for three cellos in the web Johnstone-Music

Enjoy the music!
